The Royal Game of Ur is the oldest board game ever discovered, more than 5000 years old, the set of rules we found were not actually the base rules that you’ll see here but were a set of drinking rules and other tricks to add a bit of complexity to the game. Its always great to see times changed.

The game of Ur, or Royal Game of Ur or simply just Ur is a race game. 2 players must each get all 7 of their pieces down their path of the board before their opponent whilst trying to derail their opponent along the way.

This incarnation of the game is hand crafted with parts precision cut into engineered ply wooden boards, bound with faux leather and steel studs. Every Game of Ur is made to order so I can fulfil some custom requests, feel free to drop me a line with the enquiry box below.
